TRAILSIDE MULTI-TOOL, TIRE PLUG & CO2 INFLATOR KIT
[ ] Multi-Tool w/ Chain Hook
[ ] Tubeless Bacon Strips
[ ] 2x 25g CO2
[ ] Hand Pump

  • Multi-Tool w/ Chain Hook: hex keys, Torx bits and a screwdriver sized to your own bike. Confirm each bolt before you buy.
  • Tubeless Bacon Strips: sticky rubber strips pushed into a puncture from outside. Check that your tire and sealant are plug-friendly with the maker.
  • 2x 25g CO2: the owner's cartridge size. Confirm that your inflator head matches the cartridge thread type.
  • Hand Pump: backup for when you run out of cartridges. Check it fits your valve type.
  1. Get off the trail to fix it. Move to the side, away from other riders and blind corners. Why it matters: stopped riders in the line of travel get hit.
  2. Handle CO2 carefully. A discharging cartridge gets very cold and can injure skin. Hold the cartridge by the sleeve or a glove if the product has one, and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Never inflate beyond the tire's stated maximum.
  3. Know when to walk. A cut sidewall, bent wheel or loose brake is not a trail repair. Walk the bike out, and do not ride a bike with failed brakes.

Gear types only.

  • Bike multi-tool with chain tool or hook
  • Tubeless plug kit
  • CO2 inflator and cartridges
  • Compact hand pump
  • Tire levers and a spare tube
  • Wild Dirt stickers for your toolbox or frame bag (sticker category)

Trail access, e-bike rules and where bikes are allowed vary by park, forest and state. Check current local rules with the managing agency: nps.gov, fs.usda.gov, blm.gov or your state park website. Many airlines restrict CO2 cartridges in luggage, so check with your airline before you fly.

A five-minute fix beats a five-mile walk. Practice it once at home and ride with confidence. Built by explorers, for the trail.
